I just finished my two Summer classes and now I am free for the Summer! Well, free to pack for moving and doing a bunch of art I'm backed up on.
We're moving closer to Houston because my husband got an amazing job with a couple of my best friends Toni & Amanda. The daily commute between there and here is absolutely terrible, so it'll be a huge relief for him. I'm a little nervous about moving closer to the city, but I guess that'll make it easier for me to access some things. I mean c'mon an Ikea is 10 minutes away!
Being finished with these two Summer classes means that I only have two more courses left that I'll be tackling in the Fall and then I get to graduate! One is an independent study I do on my own time and the other is Advanced Printmaking with a focus on bookmaking. I'll only be going to school twice a week but my commute to Huntsville will be lengthened a bit by the move. Despite that I think it'll be a pleasant final semester for my Bachelor of Fine Arts.
I also signed up for
The Sketchbook Project 2013! Woohoo!
I'd like to get my Masters, but I'm going to wait until I can go to a pretty awesome school and not just put up with something that's in Texas again. Texas unfortunately isn't the place for illustrators, but I'm hoping to go to SVA or SCAD some day. ♥
Also you're gonna drive all the way from Houston to Huntsville twice a week???????? That's....a pretty long drive
Haha and yeah, it's ok though. It's a lot better than my husband having to commute five days a week from The Woodlands to his job. Because of traffic it takes him an hour and a half to get home despite it being about a half an hour without traffic. I'll be going against traffic with what time my class goes so it's all ok. I'd rather do it twice a week than him five times.
